This project is designed to create the sustainable income opportunities and meet the nutritional needs of the target beneficiaries of the vulnerable rural population of Union Council Jabber.  The project will initially benefit sixty families (approximately 750 individuals) through the provision of goats and native hens.

The total population of UC Jabber is 13,219 and 3,040 of these, including orphans, female-headed households, elderly without care and people with disabilities have been identified as being the most vulnerable.  In general, the causes of high poverty are low farm productivity, lack of access to finance, low literacy and the continuing impacts of the earthquake that struck this area in 2005.
