Professor Bob Ørskov made a significant contribution to research and graduate student education, especially in developing countries in Asia and Africa. In recognition of this, in 2004 his colleagues and contacts established a trust, in his name, to promote the education of graduate students from developing countries, and to ensure the development of sustainable land use through relevant research projects. The ultimate goal is to have a positive impact on poverty alleviation and provide sustainable environmental benefits.
