Three postgraduate students received grants for training to be carried out in 2022.

Chisulo Mwale from Zambia was awarded Ørskov Funding to complement his studies in Lived Experiences in Monitoring and Assessment of Sustainable Land Management in Southern Province of Zambia. The training is to take place in person at the Zambia Agriculture Research Institute

Agbor Tabot Takang from Central African Republic received Ørskov Funding for training on Developing and Elaborating on Land Information Management System Using Optical SAR and GIS. This training will be undertaken at the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development in Kenya. Our support funds her international travel as well as accommodation, the course fees and associated course materials.

Bertha Wawa from Tanzania received Ørskov Funding to receive training in Sustainable Poultry farming: Lessening poverty in rural areas, enhancing her studies towards an MSc in Natural Resources Management. The training will be undertaken at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Uneswa, Eswatini. Unlike the other two funded students, Bertha’s funding is for online training and includes money towards a tablet, internet connectivity, course enrolment fees as well as local transportation to carry out fieldwork during the training period.
